Between the lake and the mountains , there's something for everyone in every season!

Lake side:

In summer, the Serre-Ponçon lake is at its highest level , see the lake shoreline


The campsite , with its microclimate, is one of the region's top spots for windsurfing and kit surfing on Lac de Serre-Ponçon.
The Chanterenne beach at Crots, next to the campsite, gives you immediate access to the lake , and lets you take advantage of its powerful perpendicular wind right away!
If you prefer to travel "lighter", you'll find equipment rental companies just a few minutes from the campsite. Information is available at reception.


For your safety, the beach is supervised in July and August.
The fitness trail 5 minutes from the campsite is a free fitness trail open to all.
From the campsite, you'll have direct access to the water at the campsite beach, less than 5 minutes away, wherever you are on your pitch, mobile home or pod.


Numerous water sports and leisure activities are available on the lake, either directly from the campsite or just a few minutes away:

The mountains near Crots offer a wide range of outdoor activities:

  • walks (Promenade Sous le Roc, La digue entre crots et châteauroux au bord de la durance, Zone humide du Petit Liou, Lac du lauzerot)
  • hiking (Le parcours des Fées, Le Morgon, Le mont Guillaume)
  • rock climbing (réotier...)
  • via ferrata
  • cycling, mountain biking (bike rides, electric bikes, bike park des Orres, réallon...)

Heritage :

  • Abbaye de Boscodon in Crots
    Located in the Hautes-Alpes region, Boscodon Abbey is a 12th-century Romanesque building. Listed as a historic monument, it is located near the Serre-Ponçon lake.
  • Château de Picomtal de Crots
    Château de Picomtal and its French garden are in the heart of the Hautes Alpes. Water and mountain sports activities abound. An exceptional setting, at the entrance to the Massif des Ecrins, in a climate still reminiscent of Provence. In a medieval château, a historic monument of the Southern Alps, overlooking Lac de Serre-Ponçon
  • Saint Laurent church in Crots
    The church was built in the 14th century. Although unusual in the Middle Ages, it is oriented north-south rather than east-west. The small size of the site, bounded by ramparts, may explain this orientation. Initially in Romanesque style and in the shape of a Latin cross, the church underwent a number of modifications over the centuries. For example, four side chapels were added to mask the Latin plan. Frescoes were painted in the 15th and 18th centuries, and the church has been listed as a Monument Historique since 1978.
  • Notre Dame du Réal Cathedral, Embrun
    Dedicated to the Virgin Mary and of Lombard inspiration, Embrun Cathedral is the largest religious building in the French Alps. In addition to Sunday Masses in Embrun, where the organ is played, concerts and organ recitals are organized in the Cathedral during the summer season, notably during the Festival l'Heure de l'Orgue
  • Le Muséoscope du lac
    The construction of the Serre-Ponçon dam was an upheaval for the Hautes-Alpes and Ubaye. The Museoscope recounts the testimonies of those who were expropriated and tells the story of the villages that were engulfed.
