Our campsite boasts a microclimate that makes it one of the best places for windsurfing and kite surfing on Lake Serre-Ponçon in the whole region.
Chanterenne beach in Crots is right next to thecampsite, so you can be on the lake in no time and make the most of its strong vertical wind!
If you’d rather travel light, you’ll find equipment for hire just a few minutes from the campsite. Information is available at reception.
For extra safety, the beach has a lifeguard on duty throughout July and August.
A free fitness trail just 5 minutes from the campsite is accessible to everyone.
You can be at the water’s edge on our beach in under 5 minutes from anywhere on the campsite - be it your pitch, mobile home or pod (unusual space)
You can do all sorts of different activities (watersports, gentle activities) on the lake, starting directly from the campsite or from just a few minutes away:

- walks (Promenade Sous le Roc - a walk along the bottom of the cliff face, the pathway along the dam wall between Crots and Châteauroux alongside the river Durance, the Petit Liou wetlands, Lauzerot Lake)
- longer walks (Le Parcours des Fées fairy trail, Le Morgon, Mont Guillaume)
- climbing (Réotier etc.)

Heritage :
- Abbaye de Boscodon , Crots
Located in the Hautes-Alpes, the Abbey of Boscodon is a 12th century Romanesque building. Listed as a historic monument, it is located near Lake Serre-Ponçon.
- Château de Picomtal ,Crots
The Château de Picomtal and its French garden is in the heart of the Hautes Alpes. There are numerous water and mountain sports activities. Exceptional setting, at the entrance to the Massif des Ecrins, in a still Provençal climate. In a medieval castle, a historic monument in the Southern Alps, overlooking Lake Serre-Ponçon
- L’église saint Laurent , Crots
The church was built in the 14th century. Although this was not common in the Middle Ages, it is oriented North-South and not East-West. The smallness of the site, limited by ramparts, could explain this orientation. Initially in Romanesque style and in the shape of a Latin cross, the church has undergone modifications over the centuries. For example, four side chapels hide the Latin plan. Frescoes were painted in the 15th and 18th centuries; it has been listed as a Historic Monument since 1978.
- La Cathédrale Notre Dame du Réal, Embrun
Dedicated to the Virgin Mary, of Lombard inspiration, the Embrun Cathedral is the largest religious building in the French Alps. You will not be able to miss it during your visit of the city of Embrun, To be completed with the garden of the Archdiocese.Note that apart from the Sunday masses of Embrun where the organ sounds, concerts / recitals of organs are organized in the summer season in the Cathedral, in particular on the occasion of the L'Heure de l'Orgue Festival
- Le Muséoscope du lac
The construction of the Serre-Ponçon dam was a major upheaval for the Hautes-Alpes and the Ubaye. The Muséoscope traces the testimonies of expropriated people and tells the story of the submerged villages.

One of the largest earth dams in Europe with more than 2,800 hectares.
